The Story

This commemorative challenge coin for the 60th Presidential Inauguration on January 20, 2025, features a depiction of the West Front of the U.S. Capitol Building on the front, and White House on the back. It comes in a plastic protective case mounted with a descriptive card that reads “60th Presidential Inauguration Commemorative Coin” at the front amidst historical Inauguration photos. The backside features the following description: Every four years on January 20, millions of people watch as the president-elect takes the Oath of Office on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol Building. However, for nearly 150 years, Inauguration Day was held on March 4. In 1933, the 20th Amendment changed Inauguration Day from March 4 to January 20. Franklin D. Roosevelt was the first president to be inaugurated on this day in 1937.” This coin was designed exclusively for The White House Historical Association. Wipe clean with soft cloth.
